The Tax Club is a Scam! I got scammed by the Tax Club

The Tax Club is a scam! They work with other companies, that set up fake businesses for you and then tell you that you need their services for your business.. I mean, fake business. The Tax Club scammed me out of 20k. That's a lot of money. I got some help from a company called CR Consumer Resources and they helped me get my money back. They did not charge me any upfront fees and did all of the work for me. They were great. If you have been scammed by The Tax Club and need help, I recommend them to get your money back. Their phone number is 888.563.5558 http://www.crconsumerresources.com I cannot mention the name of the company that first scammed me because of the contract I signed when I got my money back from them too thanks to the help of CR Consumer Resources. All together, I was able to recover close to $30,000 with the help. I do not understand how the Government has not shut The Tax Club and these companies running out of Utah scammers that give The Tax Club our information to scam us more. Work at home business opportunity my ***! I am so happy to put this nightmare behind me.

You are very fortunate to get all your money back. I too was scam more than $18,000 in 2010 but was only able to get about $5,500 with the help a consumer advocate.

There is an ongoing lawsuit against them companies by the Federal Trade Commission against the tax club and all their other fake companies now

http://www.ftc.gov/enforcement/cases-and-proceedings/cases/2013/04/tax-club-inc-et-al-federal-trade-commission-state

They asked my to help them testify against them in court.

Thanks. I have too been scammed by The Tax Club. I am going to call them.

Horrible Person

I've worked along side and for Tedd Johnson. To put it simply, Tedd Johnson is one of THE biggest *** in all of America. There's very few people who I can honestly say have a special place in *** for them, Tedd is one of them. His personality alone is one that looks down upon others, thinks because his name is behind a company it will succeed, and could care less about you. Just by looking at him you can tell he lives in a sad pathetic world. One piece of advice, Don't EVER do business with Tedd Johnson.

All they did was fraud

The tax club called me to setup an online business and told me that I need to pay some amount to be a member which is around $2500. I never gave them the consent to make a transaction from my account but they still did and emptied my account since they had my debit card number. I called them back to return my money because how could I invest any money when I was not making any, they returned the money back two weeks later but it was not the full amount. I asked them why they said because of the currency rate between canadian and us dollars u see a lost in balance. Well if they can deduct money then they can also return the same amount and it is their job to keep track of currency exchange in a way to return the total amount they deducted. I was upset and they lost their reputation.

The Tax Club in NY

I have had two of my credit card balances go over the credit limits due to their charges and manner in which they asked for authorization. I just got another bill for a recurring monthly fee of $34.95 that I did not even know about. What is the start-up fee suppose to be for? I have emailed them on a survey that Why am I prepaying for services? Only go get messages on my phone, but when I call back no one knows what I'm talking about. I want to cancel this club. Does anyone know the best way to go about it?

Took my money and received no results

I, as well was suckered a home-based business EBN and by The Tax Club. I was told I could cancel within 3 days. I thought about it the same night, called the next day to cancel, then was told someone would contact me within 24 to 48 hrs. Someone did call, then I was pressured to do it again. I said No and called back to re cancel. No one ever answers the phone or have answered my emails. I had to dispute it with my credit card company. They answered them though and said they would only give back $1,000.00 dollars. They did nothing for me so they should have giving me back all. And I tried to get it back, but that company will not return your call or emails. Yes, I do feel ***. Do anyone know where I can get any other help from? They are a ripped off company.

The Tax Club

I got sucked in big time by the Tax Club after sighing up to start my own website I was contacted by The Tax Club very hard sell , refused at first but was rung by more than one person. I new it was to good to be true but was not well at the time and I think they knew that . I was told I could claim it all back on a tax return but when I rung I was told that I had to be trading before I could do a Tax return.I live in New Zealand so it is hard to contact people and they don't call back to many people to deal with confusing. The last time I heard from someone was February they were trying to sell me something and I said no and I haven't heard from anyone since I have emailed three guys no reply I have lost $20000. 00 I cannot tell my family that I have been so stupied. I never sent back any forms with my signature on it for agreements but I gave them my credit card number DUMB.

The Tax Club scammed me too and I got back my money through CR Consumer Resources. I got my money back with IBS who scammed me first with their help.

CR Consumer resources is not a scam. They helped me get back a lot of money that I needed back. I am thankful to them. Now if I could find out about ISS who works with these jerks.

I paid them with a check. I think I'm screwed on that one.

Has anyone else been scammed by some scammer named Derek Thompson who comes after Tax Club? I need some contact information on this person because they took my money and ran.

Scott Zko

:grin ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW???

CR Consumer Resources is a SCAM also!! They're no better than the The Tax Club. I wouldn't be surprised if both of them were working together to scam people out of money. This is all such BS!!! :(

CR Consumer Resources is on RipoffReport also.

I signed up with The Tax Club over 6 months ago and I have YET to see them make good on anything they said they were going to do!! In our phone consultation, I was told that all I had to do was pay the initial fee of ($4500) and I would be able to get my business off the ground. MOMENTS after my phone consultation, the money was taken right off my credit card. They just couldn’t wait to start ripping me off!!

I started receiving calls from them nonstop, always asking for more money. I’m a single mother and with this economy, that initial fee was hard to come by. Now they need more money for bookkeeping, payroll and lots more. I didn’t need many of these services as it’s just me but they told me that my business was doomed to fail if I didn’t get them. So I did. Each time I received a charge from them, it showed up as something totally different. The first charge was Manhattan Professional Group then it was All Access Books and Business Document Center and after the last call it was Vital Payroll, Inc. Why did they charge me under different names? A legitimate company, one that provides the services that it claims to, charges under the same name. For all I know Billy Joe Bob in Tumbleweed, Arkansas is getting my money.

I’ve called them on numerous occasions and every time getting a different answer. I have been told that a supervisor would contact me and I have yet to hear from him. I’m starting to think this person doesn’t even exist. Who does business like this?

($17,400) later, I am now on food stamps, facing a potential bankruptcy and God knows what else all because I trusted these people and they didn’t hold true to their word. The Tax Club (Manhattan Professional Group, All Access Books and Business Document Center or Vital Payroll, Inc. whatever they want to call themselves) hasn’t done anything but take food from my children’s mouths. I can’t feed them with empty promises! The worst business decision I have ever made was to get into bed with these crooks. I was struggling then and now I’m worse!! I’ve had to change my number several times because creditors keep calling for money and thanks to The Tax Club, I CANT PAY THEM! I thought the feeling of being ripped off from The Tax Club was bad. Try having to send your children to school with clothes too small because you didn’t have the money to buy them new school clothes. Or the pressure of making the little bit of money I get from food stamps stretch all month so my kids don’t go hungry. This is no way to live.

I contacted my attorney on the steps that I needed to take in order to get my money reimbursed and he referred me to another law firm that better deals with companies like The Tax Club, whose sole purpose seems to be to bankrupt unsuspecting people like myself. I spoke with Richard at 302-300-****. He was really helpful and considerate of my situation, which is a lot more than I received from the “consultants” at The Tax Club. I did not have to pay anything upfront like The Tax Club, which gave me peace of mind. I couldn’t afford to get ripped off again. I was required to follow up with him a lot more than I had hoped for but all and all, it has been a success. I got my money and I’m just going to do the steps of opening my business the BEST way…and that’s WITHOUT The Tax Club.

So, to sum up everything...

Savings…GONE Business…FAILED Bankruptcy…ALMOST Government Assistance…YUP Feeling like you can’t provide for your children…CHECK

All thanks to the one and only The Tax Club, I mean Vital Payroll, Inc. Whoops! The Manhattan Professional Group. Oh, I’m sorry they have so many names :/

But after speaking with Richard….

Getting my money back and sticking it to The Tax Club ….PRICELESS!

Took money and engaged in delinquent accounting

The Tax Club sold me two programs - one through The Tax Club and the other through All Access Books. Before my business was even turning over, they insisted that I absolutely needed their bookkeeping. It was allegedly essential and warned of how you must be careful of audits. After earthquakes, I moved countries advising The Tax Club of my address. I forwarded all the financial data they had asked for - putting hours into the compilation of data. They did not update a thing. All correspondence was sent to an old address and I received none of it. A few months later, my LLC was shut down for "delinquent accounting". Yes, "delinquent accounting". I tried contacting them and only got bounced emails. I have repeatedly asked for a refund and have only received excuses, evasiveness or an offer by them to set up a new business. Naturally, I don't want any involvement with a company that does not comply with accounting regulations. My right is for a refund of the thousands of dollars I have paid to these companies and I request same.

Tax club

I am also a consumer who fell for the tax club blah! blah! blah! It sounded so good. They sent me a notebook with my company logo ect on it. They helped me get a tax id (which I found out I could do myself online) Should this cost $3600 and a reaccuring monthly fee of 49$. I did not know that I could get the same help from a local accountant. In their original spill they say a regular local accountant cannot help you like they can. Their right the tax club is better at taking more of your money for really nothing. I had even called only one time to try and get help with a tax question and did not get a return phone call or an email. Don't fall for what their telling you. You won't get any of your money back!

I came across your post on The Tax Club and saw this CR Consumer Resources ***. They're nothing but a scam also. Don't get in bed with these people. I have been looking on various complaint boards and I have seen other posts about them being nothing but a scam.

It's ridiculous that they're working WITH The Tax Club and come onto these boards and take more money from people.

By calling them, you would just be putting more money in The Tax Club's pockets.

Travesty!!!

I'm sorry to hear that you are yet another person who was scammed by The Tax Club. Just let it stop there...don't do business with CR Consumer Resources

I hope this message finds you and you can get your money back! I was scammed by the Tax Club too for over $30,000 about 2 yrs ago.

The same thing happened to me and I hired a company called CR Consumer Resources and I recovered every penny from the Tax Club. If you want to see your money jump on it now. This company really helped me out. I cant believe I got all of my investment from these fraudsters back.

I just received my money from the credit cards that I put the transactions on yesterday. I wanted to come online and let people know where to get help. crconsumerresources.com 888-563-****. Take your money back!

Get the help! I did and even got interest and fees paid on my credit cards.

The Tax Club DECEIVES

I would not recommend this company to anyone. Their methods are very cookie cutter. You get bounced around from rep. to rep. with no idea of what is going on. You end up so confused with the services you are receiving and what you are actually doing. They are always trying to sell you other services without focusing on the services you've paid for. I kept having reps offer to sign me up for other services at additional costs before they ever finished taking care of my initial tax package! They only give you 3 days to get a refund which is not enough time to decide whether or not they can deliver the services you are looking for. They filed my paperwork incorrectly and when I requested a refund, they declined saying that I was responsible for the issue even though I had been forthcoming about my business situation that related to the issue. I speculate that their business strategy is to get lots of one-time customers. This is the only reason I can think they overcharge so much for their services. You may or may not get any of your phone calls returned when you have questions. They have free webinars every now and then, but they again are cookie cutter and the reps who host them are hit and miss. You can get the same services tailored to your needs for much less elsewhere. I recommend you do your homework on tax filing costs before you decide to give this company any of your money because once you do, you won't get it back. Good Luck and I hope you do not make such a costly mistake as I have.

The Tax Club and NYC Atty Gen. Office

This "company" is so overrun with *** and fraud, deceptive sales practices and fear tactics that they are under investigation by the NYC AG's office. They, PMI, Anthony Morrison, et al should be avoided at all costs. They prey on people's desire to work and provide for their families at a time when jobs are scarce and then they charge exhorbitant fees for services you either don't need, or they don't provide if you do need them. The only ones making money here are the ones now being investigated. Beware, Avoid, it's a multi-level SCAM and contact the NY Departmental Disciplinary Committee at 61 Broadway, 2nd floor New York, NY 10006

Every complaint board I go on there's FIAD posting everywhere but they're the ones talking *** about Utah Consumer Advocate and Consumer Resources. I called FIAD Card Services to help me with Tax Club and they wanted to charge me 40% of what I got back.

Screw that.

Since then, I see them spamming every scam board, complaint board, ripoff report and I mean hundreds of posts but haters be hatin and stuff I guess. Glad I didnt hire them to help me after I see their childish ways.

Attention Consumers!

User Cook63 is an employee working for CR Consumer Resources, posting as a so-called "satisfied customer".

The posts setup by Cook63 are attempts to draw more business and build clientele.

CR Consumer Resources are no better than the scam artists they claim to go after. They make sad attempts to suck people in such as these fake posts. Like the scam companies they only want your money, which explains their ridiculous fees.

There are MUCH better companies out there who can help people in situations like these.

Please don't let yourself be fooled.

The Tax Club - Fraudulent Group

The Tax Club phoned me in New Zealand and spent about an hour on the phone with me, after telling the two men that I was talking to that I couldn't afford it they said that I was not using money but my credit card. I joined after being brow beaten by the two men. The next day I cancelled my subscription with the tax club and was told that I would be called within 24 to 48 hours regarding the refund. Yesterday, another man phoned and tried to persuade me to stay on, I said "NO" that I was absolutely not interested and again explained my reason, he said "I can help you with the financial side of it." What a load of rubbish. I'm still waiting to hear from them after sending yet another email regarding my refund. Have had to cancel my credit card because of them & have lodged a fraudulent claim with both the cards that I used. This is a scam & I was sucked into it. What as a group of people that obviously have the same complaint as I do about it? As a group can we collectively sue them? I would be interested in hearing what others think about this.

Nikalseyn, you dont understand that these people are the best sales people and actually show you false information while talking to them on the phone. The best sales people I've ever encountered.

You also have to understand that they prey on elderly and disabled people looking for online business opportunities, working from home to supplement their income.

It's not the victims fault, it's the scammers fault! Understand that we are victims of a crime.

Guest

I have had a big problem with the Tax Club the suck you in big time with lots of offers but when you want them they are uncontactable. They confused you with all these people ringing you and selling you things that you don't need .I was trying to start a small internet business and now in debit for 20k nobody will now call me as they can't get anymore money out of me. So sad feel really bad can't tell my family

John N Mzy

It's really your own fault because you agreed to take the service. I have never understood how people can agree/sign up when they are on the telephone.

It is so easy to just hang up on anyone who is trying to scam you. You also made the number one mistake: you gave them, over the phone, your credit card info.

Ripped me off for $14,000+

My late wife was trying to start a web business and about two months into the process, my wife died suddenly, I tried to obtain a refund from The Tax Club as very little had actually been done. My wife was "taken by" this company only about 2 months before she passed away. I applied but because of Longo Ricks and others and their clerical errors, the finally denied the refund because 30 days had passed. I tried to contact the company So here I am, out over $14,000 in credit card debt for nothing. And they have $14,000 for doing nothing.

I hope you didn't use the CR Consumer Resources, they are a joke of a scam as well. I used them and they took there fee after a credit was placed on my accounts, once reversed never could talk to anyone that could give me a straight answer.

Well you live you learn. Now I have been scammed twice. Kudos to the above poster that obviously work for CR Consumer Resources. Going after other victims that have been scammed as well!

How do you sleep? Poor guy that posted this. I feel awful.

I pray for you and your family. Good day.

First, my condolences to you. God bless you for all you've been though.

I might have some good news for you if this message reaches you.

I wish you the best and good luck to you!

Tax club is a fraud

i visited the tax club. empire state bldg 60th floor...the hallways were packed with untrained people that barely spoke english and they were all on top of one another in hallways and every nook and cranny. they make you believe that if you dont buy their services you will get audited. they are the biggest rip off artist in the business, my advice is to "stay away" dont give them your hard earned money only to lose it shortly afterward for no services. stay away, buyer beware. they will rip you off and take your money for no services.

($17, 400) later, I am now on food stamps, facing a potential bankruptcy and God knows what else all because I trusted these people and they didn’t hold true to their word.

The tax Club - and My Online Development Scam!

Here is my horrible experience with The Tax Club. Also be aware that they have other affiliate companies like My Online Development which is how I was introduced to them before being formally introduced as The Tax Club. Also be aware of Profit Systems Online with Paul Johnson. I was fortunate enough to cancel my Tax Club membership within 15 days to get 85% (out of about $4500) refund and I got out of their so called Business Credit building program within 3 days so I got 100% refund (out of about $5000). But I got stuck with the $10,068 I paid to My Online Development, which offer 4 different services from 4 different companies in various states around the USA. It started when I found a link in MSN.com about work from home jobs, as I was looking for a way to make a little extra money in this economy. This was back in July 2010. I followed the link to a "testimony" about a single mother making more than $6000 a month from home. The article sounded convincing so I follow another link that took me to Profit Systems Online, which is the culprit that started the whole mess. Profit System's website is loaded with testimonies and hurrah about the program that supposedly helps many people earn a lot of income from home (which is probably true, but I'm sure through better programs than this) and so on. So I thought I would pay the $49.95 to start up the program, but I should have trealized something was fishy after they lead you to another website encouraging you to pay an extra $150 to join they special program. Then I did what I should have done first before getting into this scam, I researched Profit Systems Online and found some blogs with complaints about this program. The next day I called them to try to cancel and get a refund, but they manages to convince me it was a legit program by showing me a few websites built and making thousand and dollars a months, and that they can teach me how. I feel real dumb for believing their half truths and lies, but I learnt a big lesson. But anyway, then they said I qualified for there elite program to get one on one training and access to their e-library of lessons and videos and stuff. How they determined that I qualify for this program? By asking me how much credit I have in my credit cards. Once they knew this, they proceed to take almost all of it within the space of one month, leaving me about $30,000 in debt. Why did I do it, you may ask? Because they gave me the impression that the more I spend with them, the faster I would start generating income from my e-commerce website(s). So I took their word for it, thinking they had my best interest like most decent companies, but these people are not decent companies. Back to my story, by early August 2010 not long after I started the one on one coaching which cost about $7500, I receive a call from some one from California representing My Online Development (Joseph Mastralangelo, I'm mentioning his name, because after he got me in this mess, I tried to call him 3 times for advice and he never returned my calls). So Joe smart talks me into signing up for a package of about $10,068 that includes building an ecommerce website, a business logo, a 30 second promotional video and a marketing package. The plan was that while I'm doing the training with my coaches at Premier Coaching, they will be doing the hard work for me and by the time I competed my training my website would be up and ready. The problem is I did not finalize my niche product until the beginning of September and by then I was struggling the pay my credit card bills which rose very high before of all the charge made on them. And by them I already started building my on website so I thought I can cancel my My Online Development website and video account, but I didn't realize the deadline for cancellation was gone about 2 week because. I never heard of any company having such a short space of time get a refund, and also never heard of not getting are fund even if you never use the service. Then I realized I was screwed and started getting stressed out and worried, including a couple emotional break downs, and shame for getting myself into this scam without research and going with my initial hunch that something was wrong. Enter The Tax Club, so called tax professionals from NY. This guy, Anthony, calls me and said he was referred to me by my coaching team and said they would offer me tax preparation service, and convinced me that I needed the make my business an S-Corporation to protect my personal assets, which I later found out was crap and I did not need that now. This packages cost $4500 and he claimed I can get a big refund when I filed my taxes. Then they set up phone appointments for me to expect one call per week for the next 4 weeks and said I will be offered other services that are optional. Next thing I know, by the next week I'm being talked into paying $5400 for building business credit and applying for a $25,000 loan to consolidate my business expenses. What really tick me off is that even though I told the freak I did not have any more credit left to charge for the service, he still when ahead and charge my credit over my balance, maxing it out. That was it for me. A day later I canceled my Tax Club membership by email and phone call asking them for a refund. It took then almost 2 weeks to give me full refund for business credit and 85% for starting up and S-corp application. I also received their S-corp paperwork in the mail but did not sign any of the papers. Then I took a day off from work to speak to real tax professionals at H&R Block and another independent and reputable accounting company in my area, asking them if what the people and The Tax Club were telling me is true about being incorporated and the huge cost. They both said no, and one accountant said he even does a lot of services for free and only charge to file taxes. Unfortunately I'm stuck with the bill from My Online Development and some of the things they did for me I can't even use for various reasons. Now I'm stuck with a website that was built for me and I'm just fed up with spending hours on trying to market my first site with only one sale so far. Plus I'm making monthly payments for a merchant account, dropshipper, and web builder and no sales. Then recently I found out that most of the marketing techniques I learnt from the coaching are outdated and not very effective for getting found in internet search engines. Like I mentioned before and to be more specific: Profit Systems Online (and there other variant names), My Online Development (same billing address as The Tax Club) and The Tax Club, located in the Empire State Building in NYC, are not decent businesses. They just make people spend large amounts of money unnecessarily to full their pockets and pay the rent in the Empire State building, among other location they affiliated with around the USA. I hope this experience I wrote helps someone out there. You don't have to spend a bunch of money upfront to start an online store, I just set up 2 online stores at CafePress.com for free. The most amount of time and money should go to marketing like intelligent Press releases, blogging and social media. You can build an e-commerce online store for free or as little as $5 to $15 a month with Citymax.com or Intuit.com. And if you are in huge amounts of debt and can't pay your credit card bills because of The Tax Club and other scams, try a Debt Management program like the one I'm with called MMI: https://www.moneymanagement.org or call them at 1-86*-490-****. Or ask your credit card customer service to hook you up with a debt payment program and they will communicate with your credit cards to come up with a manageable payment plan with very low interest rate (1% to 1.99% for me). I hope this helps.

Accelerated Coaching and The Tax Club Scam

Updated by user May 22, 2011

Accelerated Mentoring\'s coaching program is a scam as well

Original review May 21, 2011
I signed up with Accelerated Coaching in early 2011. I was almost immediately contacted by the Tax Club. I spoke to a "business analyst" who said his name was Raj Saw. He forced me to buy services that I did not want or need. This hustler employed every fraudulent and unscrupulous method to get my credit card information and charge my cards. Raj then told me he would set up my business for $5190.00!!! He said he would give me a guarantee that I would have millions of people making purchases on my site. When I asked Raj how this would work he kept telling me I do not need to worry about that. When all was said and done I was $5190.00 in debt with no business and no sales. Not to mention Raj gave my file to his cronies to call me and charge me for other services. I was promised that I would be able to deduct the money I spent in the business. Not True!!! I tried to cancel the program and was immediately called by Raj. He told me if I cancel I would get ZERO back. They know how to trick desperate folks into charging everything. They must be brought to justice.

I too was scammed by the Tax Club!! "Nobody," obviously you have never been in this vulnerable position!

I am a very wise, college educated (obviously trusting) woman who also fell for these fast talking liars!!

I luckily found Utah Consumer Advocate and was able to get ALL OF MY MONEY BACK!!

Margaret, if you are interested in getting your money back from these thieves, please contact me at mjustified@***.com. I will steer you in the right direction to put this nightmare behind you!!

Mr Nobody i guess you could call me a wide eyed, nieve, fool as well. I to fell into the same trap.

In total tax club withdrew $7109.95 fraudulently from my credit card only $2390.00 (amazon.com website) was authorised and digitally signed for.

As an after thought, after they maxed out my credit card and put it into $1800 overdraft, they sent me authorisation forms to sign digitally BUT I Never signed them.

I guess this is what they mean when they say,

"We are not human beings having a spiritual experience ... We are spiritual beings having a human experience." - Teilhard de Chardan

Understand the economy is bad and a lot. Of people need to do things to survive.

But spending 5k for an online business is *** and you my friend are a wide eyed, nieve, fool. Sorry to be blunt but if you have 5k in credit why not use that to float you and your family along until you find "Real" work. I never understood that. You see these commercials and fall for the get rich quick scheme and you end up being scammed.

They have no right to scam people but wide eyed idiots like you make it easy for them to keep the money pouring in so they can continue their scamming ways. Life lesson: if it's so easy why isn't everyone else doing it.

And another thing why on earth would you give your cc # to someone you have never met. Mind boggling lol
